I heard from many of you that sometimes no one is available to listen to you, when actually you’d really like that. Or maybe someone’s willing to listen, but it’s your friend who always interrupts while you’re sharing, or your partner who wants to give advice before you are heard in your feelings.

So I created a video in which I am listening to you. And you can talk to me. If you want to see how that works, click here to see the video. I’m excited as I think it will be a cool experiment!

Marianne, thank you so very much. This was the second time I shared with you and its so great how your recorded listening makes me listen to my self and have much more empathy with myself. I struggle with codependency and have a stressful situation at work right now and we’ll the pandemic is making many things difficult and weird right now. Then in this time it’s so good for me to just share with you and not always be needing to receive another person’s sharing directly before or after my sharing. It brings me more peace and energy.

Even though I knew you weren’t really there I felt like you were and I was able to get into my feelings about something that would have made me feel shut off and sick. Thank you for listening.

Mariane this is the second time I engaged with your listening video. I am impressed with the result for myself. Speaking out loud is powerful and to feel heard. I released a lot of energy stuck unexpressed feelings, and my breathing became easier. I love your imaginative bravery for presenting this option. I think you listen well and with such genuine feeling. Thank you. Blessings and Grace

Thank you very much! I tried to try it several times in the past, but didn’t dare although I knew it was video. Finally I managed today. It put me in a position to really be honest with myself and say out loud what is going on in me in my lif now in terms of feelings and really helped in calrifying them out. I feel somehow lighter yes because of speaking loud and clear my version of reality.

    Hi Marianne
I felt able to open up easily knowing that there would be no judgement, pressure, interruption or advice.
It was interesting to witness the emotions that surfaced when speaking out loud rather than just thinking it in my mind. Thanks! cool experiment 🙂

    HI Marianne
that was a cool experiment — on the one hand, I knew you were not really there, but it still felt like you were listening and present. and opening up was easier because i knew there was no judgement coming from you, or that I could say whatever I wanted to without getting “advice” or interruption
    Thanks for this 🙂

This is a great idea. As a stay at home mom, I sometimes could really use someone to listen as I talk through an idea or just talk out loud in general. Thank you.

    Hi Marianne,

in those five minutes, I did tell you something about my day. I take away the experience that attention and silent listening – from somebody I trust – stimulates me to open myself. Thanks.
