Hi Carolina, most definitely, I would only do a check-in with someone who is fully up for that. And yet, with a bit more practice, one CAN connect with people's resistance to NVC/ideas about what it is. I might do a video about that sometime!

Hi Stephan, to be able to stay with what happens in the moment does require practice. And yet, I've seen people unfamiliar with NVC just 'copy' what the 'NVC person' did during a check-in. Of course not everyone will be able or willing to dive deep, but in the worst case, you got a moment to express yourself honestly with someone listening silently..you do give me the idea to one day make a video doing this with people who haven't hear about NVC yet, thanks for the feedback!

I am going to bring this practice to our NVC practice group at work. Thank you for sharing. I have been looking for ideas on how to better to connect with my feelings and needs in the moment.

hi, Marianne – thanks for all the resources you make available. This video was a lovely dialogue between 2 sensitive souls, but it really doesn't seem simple to me. To be able to stay with what is most alive in the moment seems to be a pretty sophisticated act. In the beginning, it can take a lot of guidance. People have so many strategies and habits that take them away from what is most vulnerable and alive. I don't think that someone who was unfamiliar with NVC, or some other inquiry in the moment process, would be able to learn it from this video. Do you think it's possible?

Hearing Marianne and Jovana share in this way made me think, "this is it! This is how human life can be really wonderful!"

Taking time, making space, being present and openhearted. Allowing for the truth to rise, expressing, listening deeply. Wow! So great. My needs for space, understanding, honesty, authenticity, connection resonating. I'm feeling encouraged, hopeful, inspired. Thank you.

Hi thanks Marianne! Checking in with my friends on a regular basis, but hell I do not dare this with X yet although I want to. As soon as he hears my: how do you feel about that? or: what does that mean to you? or: can you relate to that, he "fires an arrow" saying: NVC is only for big problems.
